This year’s National Packard Museum’s Annual Motorcycle Exhibit features a theme that celebrates the annual temporary exhibit’s 25th edition. The more than 30 motorcycles on display at the Warren, Ohio museum were selected as among the best from each of the exhibit’s previous 24 iterations. The exhibit is scheduled to run until May 31.

The exhibit kicked off with its usual opening-night gala on Jan. 11 and was by far the best-attended of the galas I’ve been to. Guests weathered a minor snowstorm to enjoy food, drinks and the first public glimpse of the new exhibit. The parking lot in front of the museum was full to capacity when I arrived shortly after the doors opened, and space in the adjacent lot for the Packard Music Hall began filling quickly thereafter.

A custom-painted motorcycle helmet to commemorate the exhibit – which included pinstriping my Youngstown motorcycle pinstriper Guy Shively – was auctioned off near the end of the gala.
The National Packard Museum is located at 1899 Mahoning Ave. NW, Warren, OH 44483. For more information about The National Packard Museum, visit http://packardmuseum.org.
